Orthomed’s Way

Orthomed is an Orthopaedic and Multispecialty hospital located at Royapettah, in the heart of Chennai. The founder and Managing Director Dr. A. Subair Khan, M.S. (Ortho), M.ch (Ortho), F.I.A.A, Fellow in Arthroscopy (India, Holland), is an Orthopaedic Surgeon trained in various aspects of Arthroscopy surgeries and sports medicine. He started the Orthomed Hospital in the year 2013, exclusive for Arthroscopy, sports medicines & joint care.

Now the hospital has become a multispecialty centre with 60 bedded facility. Orthomed is one of the few hospitals in Chennai with NABH Accreditation (National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Health Care Providers).

The Hospital has round the clock dedicated team of doctors, therapists and technicians headed by Dr. Subair Khan, an Arthroscopy surgeon and sports injury specialist.
The Centre focuses on all specialties gynaecology, plastic surgery, diabetes, Gastroenterology etc. and also exclusive to sports injuries. Orthomed hospital specializes in treatments for joint related ailments in the shoulder, knee and hip joints, conditions varying from Knee Arthritis, Knee Ligament tears, stiff shoulders, shoulder instability and so on.

Milestones

2010: Dream Comes True

Dedication and relentless hard work had taken its shape and thus orthomed Hospital was inaugurated as a dedicated centre for Cancer and Cardiac services. The institution kick started with the state of art SIEMENS Dual Energy Linear Accelerator along with Brachytherapy delivering focussed radiation to cancer patients and a GE Innova Flat Panel Cathlab for cardiac ailments.

2014: Setting Benchmark

Within a couple of year, Orthomed Hospital has marked benchmark above, fifteen thousand new patient registrations, One thousand successful catherization’s (CATHLAB), One hundred successful Angioplasty (CATHLAB), One hundred successful CABG’s, One thousand new patients treated for cancer related ailments and 500 life of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) victims was saved.

2023: Second Phase Expansion

To meet the growing need in health care, the facility was further expanded to accommodate an additional facility of 150 beds. Understanding the absence of tertiary children care in and around southern part of Chennai, a 360 degree focus was given to our exponentially growing Children Care Unit, a 20 bedded Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was inaugurated with a round the clock Neonatologist availability with the capability to support babies born weighing as less as 500 gms. A 10 bedded Level 3 Peadiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with 24/7 Peadiatric Intensivist availability was inaugurated.
